A plain-language account of what Gemelyn Studio does, what it does not collect, and where your responsibility begins when using its projects.

About these terms
These terms apply to the Gemelyn Studio website and Gemelyn Studio projects, including Duimstok. Gemelyn Studio is the name of an independent, unregistered software studio. By accessing or using a Gemelyn Studio website or project, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or project.
Privacy and data use
Gemelyn Studio does not ask you to create an account and does not intentionally collect, sell, rent, profile, or use personal data for advertising. The website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking pixels, newsletters, contact forms, or behavioural monitoring.
Like any website, the infrastructure that delivers and protects the service may automatically process limited technical request information. This can include an IP address, request time, requested address, and basic browser or device information. This processing is limited to delivering the service, maintaining reliability and security, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations. Gemelyn Studio does not use this information to identify visitors, build profiles, or market to them.
Duimstok keeps layouts and related preferences in your own browser storage. That information is not sent to Gemelyn Studio. You control it through your browser and are responsible for making any exports or backups you wish to keep. Clearing browser storage may permanently remove it.
Where applicable data-protection law gives you rights, those may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work. Because Gemelyn Studio does not maintain user accounts or a directly accessible visitor database, it will ordinarily have no visitor record that it can identify or retrieve.

Duimstok measurements are estimates
Gemelyn Studio has made reasonable efforts to represent dimensions and measurements in Duimstok close to real-world scale. Duimstok is not a surveying, architectural, engineering, construction, safety, or other professional service, and its output is not professional advice.
Digital models, imported information, displays, scaling, rounding, browser behaviour, and measurement tools can contain errors or limitations. Do not use Duimstok as the sole basis for purchasing, manufacturing, fitting, installing, building, renovating, or making a safety-critical decision.
You are solely responsible for independently checking every measurement, clearance, fit, quantity, site condition, structural requirement, safety requirement, accessibility requirement, permit, and building-code requirement. Verify the physical space with suitable measuring equipment and use a qualified professional wherever appropriate before committing money or beginning work.
Availability and warranties
Gemelyn Studio projects are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gemelyn Studio makes no warranty that a project will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, accurate, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Features may change, stop working, or be withdrawn without notice.
Responsibility and liability
You use Gemelyn Studio projects and rely on their output at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gemelyn Studio and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic loss, loss of data or opportunity, property damage, wasted materials, professional fees, replacement costs, or other loss arising from use of—or reliance on—a project or its output. This includes loss caused by an inaccurate measurement, model, layout, fit, or estimate in Duimstok.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Nothing removes mandatory consumer rights or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any other responsibility that cannot legally be disclaimed.
Your responsibilities
Use Gemelyn Studio projects lawfully and without attempting to disrupt, damage, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or another person's systems or data. You are responsible for the information you enter, the decisions you make, and any backups you require.
Intellectual property
Gemelyn Studio's names, visual identity, website content, and project software are owned by Gemelyn Studio or used with permission. Using a Gemelyn Studio project does not transfer ownership of those materials. Rights granted by any separate open-source licence continue to apply to the code covered by that licence.
External websites and services
A Gemelyn Studio page may link to a website or service operated by someone else. Gemelyn Studio does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or terms. Review their information before using them.
Changes and applicable law
These terms may be updated when the website, projects, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a material revision is published. Applicable law governs these terms, and any mandatory rights available to you as a consumer in your country remain unaffected.
